Planning Timeline for Disney World!

Ready to plan your Disney Vacation? You are in the right place! Planning a Disney Vacation can be very stressful due to the amount of work, time, reservations, and deadlines. That’s why it’s important to have a Disney timeline to help you as you plan!

365 Days Out:

Yes, You read that right! You need to start planning your Walt Disney World vacation at least 365 days from your intended check-in day. Disney will release hotel reservations and their savings packages in June of every year for the following vacation year. This is why it is important that you book at least one year in advance to ensure that you get your intended dates and hotel. Remember that you can book a trip and only pay a $200 deposit that is refundable. That $200 holds your reservation and ensures that you will get the dates and hotel that you want.

180 Days Out:

It’s time to eat! Well, it’s not technically time to eat but it’s time to think about what you want to eat in Walt Disney World. Today’s the day that reservations for table service restaurants on property will open for booking. You will need to log into your My Disney Experience account at 6 AM on this day. This is when those reservations will open for your travel dates. It is extremely important that you are on there at 6 AM if you’re looking to eat at some of the more popular restaurants on property during a busy time of year. This is especially true if you want to do character dining as they book up fast.

60 Days Out:

If you are staying on Disney property, today is the day to book your Fast Pass Plus reservations. These will go quickly so make sure you book them on this day. I recommend booking Fast Passes from your checkout date backward instead of starting with your check-in date moving forward. There will be more fast passes available later in your vacation than earlier in your vacation. I use this trick every time and I have been able to get a Flight of Passage Fast Passes every time I go.

30 Days Out:

If you did not pay for your trip in full at booking, today is the day to pay the remaining balance on your reservation.

This is also the day for anyone staying off property with Disney World tickets to book their Fast Pass reservations!

3 Days Out:

Today is the last day to purchased Memory Maker with a $50 discount for your vacation. You can purchase Memory Maker once you arrive for your vacation but it will be $200 instead of $150.

I highly recommend the memory maker and if you would like to read about it and more Disney Vacation Add-ons worth the money click here!

Have a Magical Day!
