Birthdays are already fun so why not make them better by celebrating in Disney World. During my last trip, I celebrated my birthday even though it wasn’t for another month. (Oh well, it was as close as I could get :P) It was so much fun and I would highly recommend to anyone who is visiting the most magical place on earth near or around a birthday! In honor of my actual birthday, here are my top seven things you should do to make your celebration as magical as possible.

Get a Happy Birthday Button

This is an amazing and free way to celebrate your birthday in Walt Disney World. You can pick up a Happy Birthday Celebration button at your hotel or any guest service center on property. I got one during my last trip because we were celebrating my birthday during it. It was so much fun because the cast members wish you a happy birthday and are extremely kind. You may even get a little special treatment on a slow day. For example, a cast member gave me a free cookie and wished me Happy Birthday in Animal Kingdom. It was so kind of the cast member and made my day. I think this would be especially great for the kiddos in your party.

Make a note of your celebration EVERYWHERE

Call guest services to make sure your birthday celebration is noted everywhere on your reservation. Hotel Reservation, Dining Reservations etc. Your kiddo will love it when the cast members come out singing happy birthday at the end of your meal or if there is a card in your hotel room.

Get a custom T-shirt

Custom T-shirts are huge in Walt Disney World, so why not have one for your birthday? Check out some of these below!

Order a Birthday Cake

Did you know you can order a cake to help celebrate your birthday at Disney? This is a wonderful way to make your Disney vacation the best one yet.

To Order a Cake:

1. Find the Disney Resort or Table Service you would like to have the cake delivered to

2. Call the resort or restaurant at least 72 hours ahead of time to order or call 407-827-2253

3. All of the cakes are custom so feel free to do whatever you want

4. Most cakes will start at $50

5. The cake will be delivered to your resort room or table service resultant to enjoy at the end of your meal

Get Happy Birthday Mickey or Minnie Ears

Obviously, you have to have a pair of matching Happy Birthday Mickey or Minnie ears to go with your shirt and button!

Meet the Characters and tell them it’s your Birthday

If you are meeting characters tell them that you are celebrating your birthday and you’ll get a wonderful character interaction! During my last trip, while I was meeting Elsa and Anna, Anna asked me why I was visiting her kingdom. I told her it was for my birthday and she was very excited. She told me about chocolate cakes and how Sven could cut the cake with his antlers. It was so cute and would be awesome with little kids as well. This would be extremely fun with Alice since she usually talks about unbirthdays.

Do a Dessert Party

Another option instead of a cake could be doing a dessert party at one of the parks. These are a lot of fun and come with unlimited desserts and preferred seating for one of the nighttime shows depending on the park. I would highly recommend the Jingle Bell Jingle Bam if you are attending during the Christmas season.

Also, remember that these are going to be a lot more expensive than ordering a custom cake. I would recommend checking Disney’s site. It has all of the current parties and their prices.

Hopefully, this gave you a few ideas of some things to do to celebrate your birthday at Walt Disney World. It can be extremely fun and add to any vacation.

Have a Magical Day!
